Stewardship Commission
|
Our Mission |
Recognizing that all that we have and all that we are comes from a loving God,
the commission seeks to regularly educate the parish by helping to identify stewardship
opportunities. Through personal testimony and the written word, we hopefully stimulate
parishioners to prayerfully consider returning a portion of our time, talent and
treasure to God’s work through his church. Using the tithe as the biblically recognized
standard of giving, we encourage parishioners to return a “portion” of their gifts
to God’s work. |
|
Responsibilities |
- Regularly publish stewardship information and messages (both written and oral)
throughout to assist parishioners in making regular commitments of their time,
talent and treasure.
- Creatively conduct stewardship activities and events that further assist parishioners
in understanding “all that we have has come from a loving God and that enables
us to joyfully return a portion of that time, talent and treasure to do God’s
work throughout the world.”
- Creatively conduct an annual commitment program that encourages parishioners
to prayerfully commit by making pledges of a portion of both a) their time &
talent and b) their treasure to God’s work at Epiphany.
- Initiate policies and procedures that help the Vestry to begin to formulate a
plan that anticipates parishioners making legacy gifts to the parish as a part
of their estate planning.
- Initiate legacy stewardship educational programs that help parishioners to begin
to consider and to make provisions for making gifts to Epiphany as part of their
estate.
