Our Mission |
The Health Cabinet is a group of parish volunteers who are concerned about health
and are committed to seeing that the health ministry of the church is carried
out. |

Responsibilities |
The goal of parish nursing is to increase health consciousness of individual
parishioners or the congregation as a whole. The parish nurse:
-
guides parishioners to see the connection between their spiritual selves and
their physical, mental and emotional health
-
assists parishioners in understanding the meaning of an illness experience
-
provides holistic health and wellness information on an individual basis
-
acts as an advocate and adjunct for a parishioner when dealing with personal
health issues
-
provides holistic, health-related information and guidance to community health
resources at the request of the parishioner
-
provides overall support and guidance to parishioners as they negotiate their
way through the health care system
-
recruits, trains and coordinates the work of individuals in the parish |

The Health Cabinet meets 3-4 times a year. If you are interested in participating,
