Prayer Shawl Ministry
Contact: Donna Fountain, Linda Fitzgerald
The Prayer Shawl ministry was formed in January 2006. A faithful group meets
twice monthly for fellowship and prayer in the crafting of each prayer shawl.
The knitting of each shawl is in the context of the Celtic concept of prayer,
inviting God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit to indwell and surround each person
involved in the knitting, the giving and the receiving. The prayer shawls are
given to people to bring comfort in times of illness, stress and pain. They can
also be used as congratulatory symbols at significant milestones in ones life,
such as a birth, marriage or graduation.
Upcoming Meetings in 2009:
